You can visit a country without understanding much about it. You can photograph its ancient medina walls without speaking to anyone who lives behind them, leaving with hundreds of pictures and very little knowledge of the people whose home you entered.
Roam Morocco was founded in Marrakech by Hamza and Abdelhakim. Having traveled the length and breadth of Morocco—from remote High Atlas passes to the deep Sahara—and having journeyed across the world, we understand travel from both perspectives: the curiosity, safety concerns, and high standards of international travelers, and the deep pride and hospitality of local Moroccan communities.
We built Roam Morocco to reject commoditized mass tourism. We don’t package destinations as tourist commodities—we design private, unhurried journeys around the people who know this country best.
The People
Real portraits and conversations with local Berber drivers, high-altitude saffron farmers, and multi-generational medina artisans. Not rehearsed folklore, but actual individuals with opinions, histories, memories, and pride in their craft.
The Everyday
A communal bread oven tucked in a Fes alleyway. A roadside stone cafe perched at 2,260 meters on the Tizi n'Tichka pass. The unhurried ritual of pouring gunpowder green mint tea from high above the glass. Everyday life that continues whether visitors are present or not.
